I have been taking classes with Aunty Adéọlá for over a year now and I can’t express enough how happy I am. When I started learning Yoruba with her I came in with the understanding that Yoruba is a beautiful language that takes time with all of its tonal inflections. Aunty Adéọlá is a very patient teacher and will always take the time to ensure that you’re understanding what she saying and that your pronunciation is correct. I can honestly say that all my family is seeing my improvement over time and I have gone from barely being able to say hello to having simple conversations with my parents in Yoruba. My father is always surprised with my progress especially with me starting to learn as an adult. Every class I learn something new and improve upon what I learned before. With all of Aunty Adéọlá’s help I feel much more comfortable traveling to my parents hometown in Ògùn state soon. Again learning a language especially one like Yoruba takes time and practice but if you decide to learn with Aunty Adéọlá you will not only gain understanding but also confidence. I highly recommend!!!!
